Entering its last engineering improvement phase, ‘new’ Norton has just revealed the first glimpse at a re-engineered Norton V4SV, self-titled as the most luxurious British superbike ever created.

Its silhouette is a very familiar V4 shade, and following significant investment to save the British brand, Norton will hope its murky past (by a select few unmentionables) doesn’t cast a dark shadow over its future - yet hope by staying true to the Isle of Man TT heritage, it will remain a firm fan-favourite option.

As mentioned, the V4SV is now entering its last engineering phase, and whilst it doesn’t stray far from the V4SS spec that it’ll be replacing, each component is said to have been repackaged and revised - but none more so than the in-house developed engine.

The re-imagined 1200cc V4 is placed ‘elegantly’ in the handcrafted aluminium tubed frame, and provides a peak power of 185 bhp at a reported 12500 rpm. That’ll perk your ears up! Torque is marginally down, mind, quoted at 95.8 lb-ft to a smidge lower 92.5 lb-ft, achieved 1000rpm sooner.

Worth mentioning that the TVS Motors owned-brand has been tried and tested over the past 12 months, ensuring a quality luxury product is delivered - one that truly befits the Norton name.

Elsewhere on the machine, the suspension is set with fully adjustable Öhlins USD front forks paired to a bespoke Norton Öhlins TTXGP adjustable rear shock - as mentioned staying true to its Isle of Man TT heritage.
