Teenager Storm Stacey sticks with LKQ Kawasaki for 2022 BSB
He may be only 18-years old but Storm Stacey is already heading for his third season in the British Superbike Championship (BSB) with LKQ Kawasaki
Storm Stacey will enter into his third season of British Superbike Championship (BSB) action in 2022 after penning an extension of his deal with the Team LKQ Euro Car Parts Kawasaki team.
The teenager became the youngest person to start a BSB race in 2020 when he lined up for his rookie season with LKQ aged just 16-years old, impressing with his level of consistency (just one non-finish) and landing a pair of points’ results.
Sticking with LKQ Euro Car Parts and making use of the latest generation Kawasaki ZX-10RR, Stacey was a regular top fifteen contender in 2021 and grabbed attention with a stellar run to a career-best sixth position at Donington Park.
That result came after almost landing an even better result at the same circuit earlier in the season when his mastering of the wet conditions saw him battling for a top four result before crashing out.
With the benefit of both youth and experience on his side, Stacey - now 18 - is confident of another substantial step forward in 2022.
“Obviously I am delighted to return with Brent’s team for a fourth season as it has been completely successful so far; we have had ups and downs, but mainly ups! I am looking forward to having a really good season this year - my expectations are high, but realistic.
“I am excited to get stuck into some good battles and the aim is to be consistently in the top ten - that has to be the goal for the 2022 season.
“I would like to thank LKQ Euro Car Parts for their continued support, STAUFF, all of our team partners, my personal sponsor Autotech Academy and of course Brent. I have been training harder than ever, so I can’t wait to get the racing back underway and see all the fans at the track again. Bring it on!”
