Louth-based Honda Racing has claimed the Manufacturer Award at the 2024 Isle of Man TT races. The award is one of a number given out to teams, riders and manufacturers once the racing has ended.

The prize is handed out to the manufacturer which brings home the strongest results in Superstock, Supertwin, and Superbike. This year's event saw Honda-mounted riders taking up more of the top 10 positions than any other manufacturer.

Over the course of race week, Honda-mounted riders were occupying podium spots in a number of the ‘big bike’ and supersport classes. Quite possibly the best event for the brand though came in the Superstock class, where at the end of the race 10 Honda riders finished inside the top fifteen in the single ‘stock race of the event. Leading the gaggle of Honda-mounted riders was Michael Dunlop in third, closely followed by Honda’s new factory signing of Dean Harrison. John McGuinness had a strong TT from start to finish and showed well in both the Superstock and Superbike classes, bringing his Fireblade home in a strong sixth in the Superbike TT. He also took seventh place in the Senior and Superstock TTs, just ahead of Conor Cummins, on the Milenco by Padgett’s Motorcycles CBR1000RR-R, in the Superstock race.

Speaking about the award, Havier Beltran, Honda Racing UK Team Manager, said:

“This year’s Isle of Man TT races, although disrupted by the weather, has seen some fantastic racing across all of the classes. We have riders setting personal best lap times aboard a Fireblade and completing race distances in their quickest ever time. The paddock is full of riders and teams up and down the field who have all committed themselves to this sport and spent hours upon hours preparing themselves and their Honda machines for this event. To collect the Manufacturer Award is a fitting way to credit the hard work of all those involved.”
