First Look: My 2007 Honda SH300i
The simplest way through London? You're damn right!
Check out my new wheels, freshly delivered by Honda Bournemouth, it's a 2007 Honda SH300i - with ABS of course!
You may have seen my earlier article where I'd, perhaps slightly reluctantly, come to the conclusion that an SH300 was the bike for me when it came to cutting across London every day on the daily commute. You had a chance to steer me away but you failed and so I went and bought the SH. Yes sir.
I found it on the Honda Used Approved website and bought it over the phone without seeing it. I'm a risk taker.
In truth, there was no risk. I spoke to John August at Honda Bournemouth who ran me through the bike; a 9,000 miler with a couple of owners and decent service history. They kindly serviced it, slapped on a new MOT and a new rear tyre. It's a credit to its former owner and to Honda Bournemouth for the condition it's in.
It's packing a 279cc CRF250L-derived engine (think hardcore motocrosser and you will be far off), punching out a raw 28bhp. It's hot to trot.
It was priced well; cheaper than a lot of private bikes local to me and John threw in delivery to London too.
Don't act all jealous; you could have bought it but you missed out. It's mine.
Living the dream!
