It’s certainly been a busy 12 months over at Triumph HQ with numerous new models, updates and facelifts trickling out of Hinckley to present a bright future for Britain’s iconic motorcycle marque.

And yet it is one of its older, more esteemed models that has ultimately captured attention for many with this the Triumph Daytona Moto2 765, a final limited edition flurry for the firm’s iconic sportsbike.

Unveiled almost exactly a year ago, the Triumph Daytona Moto2 765 gets – as the moniker suggests – the chance to use the firm’s 765cc triple-cylinder engine to give the Daytona sportsbike a notable tune up from its ‘675’ predecessor.

It owes its existence to Triumph’s move into the racing arena with the 765cc engine becoming the control unit of choice for the entire Moto2 World Championship grid, an occurrence that has led to a celebratory run of Daytona models that Triumph have dubbed a true ‘racer for the road’.

While the future of the Daytona beyond this model remains a closely guarded secret, Triumph maintains that this model – which is limited to just 765 models for the UK and Europe and 765 for North America – is the ‘ultimate Daytona’.

Well, we wanted to be the judge of that… check out our FULL REVIEW right here and find out whether this is the very best of a brilliant line of Triumph Daytona sportsbikes.
