MotoGP may be revered as the pinnacle of motorcycle sport globally, but when you ask MotoGP racers which race they respect the most, the Isle of Man TT constantly gets mentioned.

The latest racer to open up about the TT is Australia's Jack Miller, with the KTM MotoGP racer speaking to TT racer, and Chasin’ The Racin’ podcast host, Dominic Herbertson. A clip from the show has been shared on Facebook, and Miller doesn’t mince his words as he chats to Herbertson about the prospect of taking on the world’s most challenging motorcycle race.

“The TT was on my list” Miller said “but nah, nah. No chance. I went there to watch those f****in guys and I said ‘You know what, I used to think I was a big dog… I’m f****in small compared to that!”

Miller then went on to describe one experience that drilled home to him the commitment required to race at the highest level on the Isle of Man. He spoke about viewing the TT with his friend and then Isle of Man resident Cal Crutchlow, on the section of the TT course just after the Ramsey Hairpin. “Micheal Dunlop came out of there on a f****in 600 [cc] with one of his shoulders rubbing on one of those f****in stone walls, and I said ‘absolutely not!’”

While Miller’s future as an Isle of Man TT racer seems certain (not to happen!) his next movement in MotoGP is unclear. KTM has already made the Australian surplus to requirements by promoting Pedro Acosta in his place at the factory team for 2025, while also signing established MotoGP stars Enea Bastianini and Maverick Vinales to the Tech 3 team. Miller, who appeared to be heading out of MotoGP as recently as a few days ago, is now rumoured to have a lifeline at Pramac Yamaha, although nothing has been confirmed as of yet.
