The much anticipated Moto Guzzi Stelvio adventure bike is set for a public showcase at the EICMA show in Milan next month.

Since the launch of the Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello, more or less, the Moto Guzzi Stelvio has been anticipated, with information leaking through patent documents and spy shots as recently as September.

In Milan next month, at the EICMA show, the new adventure tourer from Moto Guzzi will make its first appearance in a major public event, ahead of its anticipated arrival on showroom floors next year. It was at EICMA last year when the bike was first officially announced, in a sense, when a wire wheel was displayed on a plinth with ‘Stelvio’ written underneath it.

The bike is named after the Stelvio road in the Italian Alps, which is indicative of its road-going touring nature, despite its increased off-road potential, and its capabilities are rounded off by features such cornering ABS and traction control, as well as full LED lighting, cruise control, a five-inch colour display, and five customizable riding modes. In addition, the PFF Rider Assistance Solution - available as a factory option - offers improvements in safety via 4D imaging.

Its base is derived from the aforementioned, road-biassed V100 Mandello tourer which released last year, meaning around 115bhp from its 1,042cc DOHC 90-degree V-twin motor, and a steel tubular frame.

The adaptation to off-road for the Stelvio is not total, indicated by its 19-inch front wheel that was revealed in the recent spy shots from September, as well as a 17-inch rear wheel. 46mm front forks support the front of the bike, while there is 170mm of travel available at both ends, and  ergonomic adjustability is available at the handlebar.
