Yamaha Tenere 700 prototype spied in Milan
Heavily incognito among the beautiful, a Tenere 700 mule is spotted
A prototype of Yamaha’s new Tenere 700 has been spotted among the beautiful people of Milan but, unlike its flamboyant surroundings, it was dressed from head to toe in black.
The new trailie, or adventure sports as the kids like to call it, is based on the T7 concept unveiled at EICMA two years ago which then became the Tenere 700 World Raid prototype.
It has now, in disguise, hit the streets of Italy not a million miles from the Yamaha Racing headquarters.
The Tenere 700 will be based on the Yamaha MT-07, carrying the same 689cc, parallel-twin motah which makes 75 hosspowers – plenty for getting down and dirty.
As the bike is heavily incognito, it’s tough to make out much in the way of details, but unless the guy riding it is Leon Camier, the seat looks to be good for stumpers as well as the long in leg.
The concept and World Raid bikes were dripping in carbon fibre, but that will probably not transfer over to the production bike as it’s still bloody expensive stuff.
