GasGas has announced a renewal of its partnership with the TrialGP series ahead of the opening round of the 2023 season this weekend in Spain.

The renewal of the partnership between GasGas and TrialGP will see the Austrian-owned Spanish brand continue as the ‘Official Bike Manufacturer of TrialGP’ in 2023, and benefit from the increased marketing potential that comes with such a position, including GasGas-branded track furniture.

It is a partnership which makes sense on both sides, since GasGas’ global prominence is increased since it was taken under the Pierer Mobility Group umbrella in 2019. Since then, it has become an Motocross World Championship Grand Prix winner in both the MX2 and MXGP classes; an AMA Supercross winner in the 450SX class; a Moto3 Grand Prix winner and World Champion; and a part of MotoGP as of this year.

That increased prominence suits TrialGP, and TrialGP suits GasGas, as it keeps its expansive present rooted in its past and in its origins, as GasGas began as a manufacturer of trials bikes back in the 1980s.

Rene Esterbauer – GasGas Head of Global Marketing: “We’re thrilled to be continuing our collaboration with the FIM TrialGP World Championship, building off what was a very successful first year of partnering with the series in 2022. Trial is the DNA of GasGas, and we want to do all we can to help the sport grow and get new riders involved.

“This year we’re excited to increase our onsite activations at each event and present our fantastic range of trial bikes to the public. Finally, we can’t wait to see our GASGAS Factory Racing riders in action while at the same time encouraging more and more fans to ‘get on the gas.’”

Fabio Muner, FIM Marketing and Digital Director: “We are delighted to renew our relationship with GasGas for another season so we can build on the foundations laid together in 2022.

“Last season proved to be very beneficial to all concerned and we look forward to taking our relationship with such an innovative manufacturer to the next level in 2023 as we work to develop our shared goals.”

The GasGas Factory Racing Team will be represented by Sondre Haga and Jaime Busto in the 2023 TrialGP season, which begins at Artexio, Spain, this weekend on 14-16 April. TrialGP can be watched on the FIM TV website.
