MV Agusta will head to the Netherlands in September for the Classic GP at Assen, where it first won in 1952.

That 1952 triumph was the first of 35 for MV Agusta at the Dutch TT, which is the event with the longest history on the contemporary Grand Prix calendar, having only missed one year: 2020, for COVID-19.

The final victory for MV Agusta in Assen came 24 years after the first, when Giacomo Agostini - the rider who became almost synonymous with MV during his 15-time title winning career - won the 1976 350cc Dutch TT. Agostini’s career was notable for its dominance, and certainly a factor in that dominance was the quality of the machinery provided to him by MV Agusta.

This year, MV Agusta will return, with its Grand Prix bikes of the past, to Assen for this year’s Tabac Classic GP at the famous Dutch circuit.

Luca Martin, COO and Board Member, MV Agusta Motor S.p.A, said.: "We are excited to announce the partnership between MV Agusta and Tabac Classic GP, and we can't wait to show our fans what this partnership will give birth to. This collaboration represents a new chapter of MV Agusta's celebration of the most iconic and representative locations of the brand's glorious history."

The 2023 Tabac Classic GP will take place on 8-10 September at Assen, featuring legendary motorcycle Grand Prix bikes, classic F1 cars, and old sports and touring cars. Find out more, and book your tickets, on the Assen Classic GP website.
