Huck has launched their 2023 range of motorcycles, which includes three models, including the Rebel S electric bike.

We recently covered Huck Cycles’ 2023 Stinger, and alongside it for 2023 is the Rebel S.

It should not be a surprise that the Rebel S is another electric, since Huck specialises in this style of powertrain.

The Rebel S shares elements with the Stinger. The battery, for example, is the same 3kWh unit as found in the Stinger, except with the Rebel S you are limited to one, rather than the two you get with the Stinger.

Further, the Rebel S shares the same engine performance of a 3kW nominal output and 6kW maximum output from the electric motor, an air shock, inverted front forks, 762mm-812mm seat height and 91kg weight.

Additionally, the Rebel S features, like the Stinger, three different riding modes. The first offers the maximum range - 50 miles - and the lowest speed - 20mph - the third offers the maximum speed - 45mph - and the smallest range - 25-30 miles - and the middle option provides 30mph for 40 miles.

There is also a ‘Performance Upgrades’ option, which provides the Rebel S with suspension from DNM, the option of dirt tyres, and improvements to the battery and motor performance. Specifically, the nominal output remains the same with the performance upgrades, but the peak power increased to 8.5kW, while the battery capacity increases from 3kWh to 3.6kWh.

The improvements to the powertrain mean that the first riding mode’s 20mph is available for 60 miles rather than 50; the second mode’s 30mph is available for 45 miles rather than 40; and 30 miles can be ridden on the third mode whose maximum speed is increased from 45mph to 55mph.

There is a large range of colours to choose from with the Rebel S: “White”, “Black”, “Green”, “Graphite”, “Navy”, “Red”, “Sky Blue”, and “Teal”.

Pricing for the Rebel S begins at $6,220, while the performance version ups the cost to $7,499. Currently, Huck markets only in the US.
